The Shack - Kingsport

*Hidden Gem Alert* This is one of the don 't judge a book by its cover places. Hole in the wall, looks like your average bar, but man is the food good. If you 're in town for just a day, I 'd highly recommend making a stop here. BBQ Chicken Quesadilla was amazing and the fries were the best I 've ever had, shoestring with some peel. The burger was good. No matter what you get, you have to be sure try all three BBQ sauces (at least on your fries).

Absolutely love this place! The music was great, the food was even better, and the service was literally perfect. The waiter knew I needed a refill even before I did, brought us several different sauces, and even offered a drink to go. Will be back soon hopefully Update! 7/21 I had a chance to go back and eat here again. It was just as great as last time!

I had a delicious mushroom swiss burger. The staff were friendly, attentive and courteous. Don't let the outside deter you. The inside is clean and bright. It's a local hangout. That was clear because they seemed to know everyone that came through the door. It's worth a visit if you want to get away from the chain restaurants.

The Shack has the best pulled pork in Tri-Cities! Soooooooooooo yummy! Staff is super friendly too!

Extremely fast service. Best hospitality in Eastern Tennessee. I had the chicken and pulled pork, best BBQ I 've had. Hands down beats the next closest BBQ Pit ! Sorry I couldn 't make it back for lunch again.
