Wok-In - Kingston

I walked into the restaurant having never tried Cambodian cuisine before, and walked out a completely different person. The harsh cold of the winter in Eastern Ontario disappeared as I was whisked away to the beautiful landscapes of the Orient. The flavors were exquisite, the shrimp in menu option 3 had a delightful chewiness, and the aftertaste was surprisingly pleasant. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

This restaurant is amazing! I ordered dishes #1 and #4 and they were delicious. The staff is very friendly and the food tastes homemade. The prices are reasonable as well. They serve excellent Cambodian and Vietnamese food at affordable prices. I will definitely return! Please note that they only accept cash, you must walk in to order (no delivery), and the service can be a bit slow at times since it's a two-person team. The restaurant is set up for takeout only, not for dining in.

Whenever I am in Kingston, one of my preferred dining spots is this local, family-run restaurant. They consistently serve generous portions and greet you with a smile (even though it may be hidden behind their masks). The spring rolls are consistently delicious, and for the price, you will always leave satisfied with leftovers. Their pad Thai is unique, featuring a recipe that has been passed down through generations in their family.

The best food I’ve ever had in my entire life, and I am hard to please ! Lol. I crave their spring rolls every day. (To die for) I also love that it’s a small family run shop. Seriously, order here and you will not be disappointed ! If you choose something spicy, it’s actually spicy, and packed with flavour. Unlike some other Cambodian/Thai choices where you have to explain you want it to be authentically HOT. I can tell the attention and care that goes into making the food! Huge portions, and my 4 and 2 year old even ate the Pad Thai. I can’t wait to try more things from here. Ordered awhile back now, but I was unable to post a review at the time. And I am happy I was able to now! Just grateful that places like this exist.

Tip: call ahead and pick up in person, will save you a lot of time. Pad Thai was amazing, reason for the 4 stars is the shrimp curry. Rice was undercooked and the shrimp curry was nothing special for its price. Will go back to try some of their other foods as well but the curry was disappointing.
