We have the food Togo, but it was spectacular. I highly recommend getting the 3 meat plate. Everything was tender from the bone. The brisket just melts in the mouth. If you like thick creamy gums, get it. The claw has a good creamy/tang balance. Usually fried pimples are soggy trips. They had a good crispy coating. We also have a bar of pizza for the kids. That was really good. The cheese was cooked golden brown, but not burned. The bone in wings was also good. All food and service (really nice and knowledgeable bartender) was a far cry from the last experience. I opened restaurants so I know it takes time to get things right, but dry overcrowded ribs and a manager/owner who insisted that we explain exactly what we did not like was a huge nail in the coffin. The whole experience was terrible and we swore we would never be back. I'm glad we changed our minds. We'll be back.
Jones River Tavern was a very lively and fun night. Staff made our time even better. The BBQ was delicious and the pulled pigs were mouthwater. I definitely recommend for a night with family or friends.
I really enjoyed my experience there! The staff I met were excellent hosts. The food was delicious! I tried the Chili, Cornbread, Koleslaw and onion rings because of the excellent reviews they received. You were wonderful. On that day all the dishes seemed to be prepared. However, I would prefer the cornbread that served hot and offered butter or something else to put it on. Mine was cold. The onion rings were the best I've ever tried. I had to exercise control and push the plate to the side to focus on the nutritious foods. The Koleslaw was also good as a Gentleman reviewer said. I was impressed by the fact that it is difficult for me to find a Koleslawe that I like and contains no raisins or any kind of sweetener. The chili was good too. I had mine without the pineapples because it would have been a new experience for me, and I wanted to get a taste for the chili itself first and not bury its taste. Next time, I'll order it with pineapples. I was also surprised that there was a lot of food left when I couldn't take another bite. The design was an excellent decision. It has created an environment that goes into different party sizes from single diner to a party of ten. I came after 8 in the evening, so it was dark, but it seemed a balcony dining area to enjoy your meal alfresco. I want to go back. My only recommendation at this time is that they increase their selection of tea.
This BBQ restaurant is absolutely amazing! Theres always a great vibe when I go in, and the staff and owner are very friendly. And the food hear is delicious aith big portions, if your in the area definitely stop in and grab something! I recomend the burnt end bowl!
Chili was delicious! Cornbread was sweet, and spicy fries were spicy. Very friendly waitress. Good drinks. The only downer was that my Moscow mule was served in a glass and not the typical copper cup. I would definitely go back
