I recently tried their vegan pumpkin soft serve, and it was honestly the best ice cream I've ever had. The owner personally makes the vegan flavors for his wife, and whenever she has a favorite, they create a large batch to sell. Right now, they offer chocolate and vanilla, along with a few other flavors that rotate every month or so!
Memories is a charming little ice cream shop in Kingston, NH, run by a local family. They mainly offer traditional ice cream, but they do have a selection of vegan ice cream and soft serve options as well. They had my favorite flavor, banana, but I went with the black raspberry and chocolate soft serve swirl instead. Unfortunately, the machine for swirling was out of order, so I had to choose between having one flavor swirled or getting both flavors mixed together. Naturally, I opted for the mixed version. Plus, there are goats on the premises, and there's plenty of free parking available. Updated from the previous review on June 4, 2024.
This restaurant offers a delightful selection of rotating vegan flavors of homemade hard serve ice cream. During my visit, I tried a small size with two flavors: black raspberry and coffee. They also have two rotating soft serve options available. On the day of my visit, the soft serve flavors were Oreo and coffee. The staff member mentioned that the flavors change approximately every two weeks.
The staff is incredibly friendly. I make it a point to visit Exeter once a year, and this restaurant is always a must-visit!
My daughter's allergies to dairy and tree nuts make it challenging for us to find suitable treats when we go out. We were really looking forward to trying Memories because of their extensive selection of dairy-free ice cream and positive reviews. However, we were disappointed to discover that all of their dairy-free flavors were made with almond milk. While my daughter was able to enjoy some sorbet, which was delicious, and I liked my ice cream, I wish they offered a few options made with oat or coconut milk to accommodate those with allergies.
