Zen - Kingston upon Hull, City of

I have been a fan of this restaurant since 1992 and have never found a sweet and sour bun as delicious as the ones made here by the friendly owner.

I had a meal with my partner at this restaurant and it was pleasant. The portions were generous and the coffee was delicious. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was beautiful and clean.

We took a break tonight for the first time and decided to try out this restaurant. I ordered the Bento box with chicken katsu while my partner had the sweet and sour pork. The dishes were beautifully presented and everything was perfect. It was clear that everything was freshly prepared, even the bread was delicious (the best I have ever tasted).

My wife and I have been here for a few years and this is really fantastic. the personal is so friendly and hospitable and eating is in my opinion the most authentic Chinese cuisine in the opposite. Today our first time has been eating with our baby since lockdown so we were happy to come out and enjoy some delicious food and see the beautiful staff who work there. 10/10

This evening has taught me never to judge a book by its cover.... location and first impressions wise you may question this place but it is spotless, safe, comfortable and the food is AMAZING!! We are on holiday and fancied a ‘eat in’ Chinese, went by the reviews and so so glad we did. Try it, trust it, enjoy it.
