I'm now a convert to Zymil milk and the coffee is consistently good (though I'd describe it as warm at best - I always have to ask for extra hot) and tasty. My son reckons the hot chocolate and iced coffees are also very good. The entire place is gluten free but it's honestly hard to tell. We've had bagels, bread, muffins, sandwiches and various pastries and treats. Always delicious and especially popular with my girlfriends niece who is gluten intolerant.A final few words for Vince and the staff who are always terrific - warm, engaging, friendly and attentive. It's always a delight to visit. Highly recommended, whether you are gluten intolerant or not.
Wife loved the coffee and muffin, the bagels were great and she loved the chicken pie. Haven eaten a fair amount of gluten free foods before, she was very impressed by the texture and flavour. Really hard to believe the pastry was gluten free, reminds me of that add, "I can't believe its not butter." They sell a variety of cakes, muffins, calzone, pizza, beef or chicken pies, sausage rolls and they do birthday cakes. Oh, and there's bread loafs and bagels.
My favorite cafe in Melbourne! Be sure not to miss the pastry of the day - they are usually large and packed with flavor, perfect for sharing.
Stopped by one morning after hearing great things about this place.
As chez dre (house of dre) does an all day brekkie menu, I arrived here at 12.30 for my favourite meal of the day - brunch.
