Contribuisci feedback...if you 're pressed to stay somewhere, this will have to do. Mid at best. The rooms are not very clean, and we weren 't able to eat (I was told by the staff that they were waiting on people to show . 10/10 would not recommend.
Kinlochleven isn't exactly heaving with eateries, and The Tailrace Inn is about as exciting as it gets. Popular with walkers, it's warm and cosy, with kitsch lighting and old photos of the area. Plus, it has the most cheerful bartender I've ever met (a little like Trey from Broad City). Food is pretty standard, with a fantastic selection of desserts the Belgian waffle is great for sharing. Overall, a solid place to fuel up with an energetic ambience and jolly service.
Okay Kinlochleven pub with decent food and drinks. Wee outside terrace and a broad malt selection.
Food is pretty much identical to the one served at Highland Way Inn a 100 mt away, which means the standards are low. Service was friendly, and the place is rather crowded with hikers. Lasagna was ok, but charging £4.5 for garlic bread (starter) which turned out to be 3 small slices of baguette with some garlic butter on is nothing but outrageous.
The Tailrace Inn advertises food served all day every day. Apparently, breakfast at 9:00AM on a Saturday morning didn't qualify as either. On the positive side, we found a very friendly reception, and breakfast, at The Ice Factory.
