Ruby Tuesday - Kinston

The waitstaff was excellent, but the food didn’t quite meet expectations. Overall, it was decent, though it didn't justify the price.

When my grilled salmon finally arrived, it looked like a completely different type of fish, and the zucchini was excessively steamed and oily. The rice had way too much salt on it. My friend's hickory bourbon chicken was passable, but his baked potato looked like it had spent too long under the heat lamp and had turned into a potato chip. The broccoli he had was good, but he remarked that the rest of his meal was lacking, even if it tasted odd. I tried the zucchini and found it unappetizing, so I gave up. We decided to pay and leave since we had waited so long. The server had been great at first, but it seemed like the place might have been too busy or something had gone wrong. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Unfortunately, it seems the restaurant was in the process of closing down. If you live nearby and are looking for a job, I encourage you to apply online! I’m sure they would be interested in hiring. The one server who was there was very pleasant, even though I arrived just half an hour before closing time (9:30 PM), as they close at 10. She kindly let me sit at the corner of the bar, and since I was only interested in mixed drinks, I have to say she made a fantastic Sex on the Beach!

Short staff waited for other customers while I and my daughter waited almost an hour and 30 minutes. no refills on tea while sitting. then she tells us they had only 1 cook, but our food was probably waiting. I understand there's a lack, but the people were waiting for us.

First let me start off by saying my family eats out a lot. And the fact that there is no one wanting to work nowadays and everywhere is short-staffed my experience today was beyond my expectations. I was seated immediately the server (Alexis) got my drinks and Order promptly, the salad bar was fresh with many choices and our food came out hot. Everyone was friendly. the place was clean and I will be back.
