Hotel Restaurant Eydt - Kirchheim

We could hardly expect to stop on our journey between frankfurt and göttingen to dinner. the hotel was a bit scary: there were no significant cars in front of the door, someone at the reception and one in the (empty) dining room. I am not sure why it was empty, but we were brave and sat down our first German food, trying to find a menu away from the tourist trails. it has become surprisingly good. the carving was good, the child portion was about half an adult. the salmon with dill sauce was delicious. the pork was also quite good. this is perhaps not a gourmet, but it is worth the extra kilometers from the carbahn to avoid the chain restaurants.

Nice accommodation. Dinner was also very good, classic cuisine.
