Cafe Bahar - Kirkland

I came after I saw it on the app, I thought I had options, but it was very difficult to find something vegan. they cook almost everything in ghee. they were helpful by telling me that.

I asked (via facebook messenger:) do they have something vegan? if their menu point says vegetarian I suppose it is not vegan; right? her answer: hi trinity, you're right. they are not vegan. we do not have any special vegan items on our menu.

Delicious food, simple parking and authentic aromas.

We were the only customers at 6 pm reservation and the server seemed surprised to see us. The menu was extensive and varied, but the lack of customers made us wonder how they keep so many items in stock. We ordered a goat curry and a shrimp curry, both of which were delicious. The goat curry had lots of bones, making it almost impossible to eat, but the sauce and cheese were excellent. The restaurant was quite dark and felt a bit disorganized (boxes visible in a corner, paper napkins, water served in Kirkland bottles). It was a bit strange, but perhaps they are just getting started. Despite this, the place has potential if they get more organized. We may give it another try in a few weeks to see if things have improved.
