Just Poke Kirkland

Three star for the food, an extra star for the piled on portion. I have a mixed feeling for this spot. On one hand I think the poke is under seasoned. The toppings not so memorable, yet I definitely can tell the ingredients are fresh, and the serving is pretty darn good for the price, especially in DT Kirkland. Great place to grab your poke and sit by the lake and enjoy the view. So it could've been just me going on a day when my palate is not feeling it. Next time I'd probably have the server add in some extra sauce or spices. The free miso soup is quite watery but helps wash down all that food.

The price increases are reasonable, but serving only half the portion of protein or fish is simply unacceptable. I didn’t come here just to pay $18 for a bowl of plain white rice. The few cents they saved by reducing the portion today will prevent me from returning in the future. If they are struggling to make enough profit at the current prices, why not raise the prices by another dollar instead of cutting corners?

The bowl is small and mostly filled with rice, and the fish wasn't fresh. I only found it enjoyable four times. I believe that every other poke place in Seattle would be a better choice.

The quality of this restaurant has declined. I’ve visited several times, but during my most recent visit, the fish was unclean, the rice was mushy, and the portions of toppings were very small. I won’t be ordering from here again.

Super good food, terrible service. the employees have felt as angry only for the order. the hire of the staff was terrible. no one smiled and they looked at me all the time. I'm shocked how scared I was treated. don't think I'll be back on this.
