I was disappointed to hear that the tempura wasn't crispy because it was mixed with mayo and was too soft. The sushi didn't taste right and the customer service was lacking. I would recommend going to a different sushi restaurant instead, as there are plenty to choose from.
Yummy. that said my 12-year-old. we tried the salmon and the thunfish and salmon pot bowls and we are sold on them. they are a bit expensive and the part is not huge, but they are certainly delicious. and the crispy rice is so good. the service is fast and friendly.
Our typical order is thun-fish and salmon-tacos and poke-shots. the tacos come with mayonnaise, avocado and jalapeños, which we always like the right amount of seasoned. the only part is that the taco becomes very fast soft and is insensitive to the...next day. when they buy the tacos, plan to eat them within an hour. normally we prefer thunfish, but the mixture of aromene mix better with laughs. with the poke shells we have got the vulcan who has tormented salmon and thunfish, but we discovered that we prefer the salmon and tuna pool raw untouched. we always order without gurke, seems to dominate the aromes of fish, sometimes forget them, but another recommended. miso suppe is cheap and a welcome meal begins. we take out of the sushi shop once a week to show them how much we like it. it is a little expensive, but quality is guaranteed.
This sushi restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall in Saint Charles, but the effort put into decorating the space is evident. The menu is extensive and everything we tried was delicious. Be sure to place your order in advance as they can get quite busy!
Warning!!! I have been spending approximately $250 to $400 per month at this restaurant for the last 5 to 8 visits on average. It has been my go-to spot after working late or coming back from a late flight when I don't feel like cooking. However, in recent months, the average wait time to pick up an order has exceeded 45 minutes and often goes over an hour! The last time was the final straw, waiting 60 minutes for 4 rolls on a Tuesday night? The worst part is that I am typically the only customer there when I go to pick up my order. I have been a loyal customer for a couple of years and have spent thousands of dollars, but I am fed up with the unfriendly and slow service. Unless you're grabbing something from the fridge to go, I recommend finding another restaurant to dine at.
