Bengal Brasserie - Kirklees

The quality of the food was very lacking and I definitely would not go back. The mixed starter was disappointing with tough, gristly meat. I informed the staff but nothing was done to improve the situation. I would have appreciated a replacement but none was offered. The main dish was also underwhelming with tough, chewy chicken. Overall, it was not a pleasant dining experience.

Tried a takeaway recently as not had a takeaway from here for a couple of years. Onion bhajis are GORGEOUS! Chicken pakoras nice. My husband's curry tasted lovely but could do with more meat as lots of sauce. Will definitely have a takeaway again from here.

Ordered chicken korma, rice and naan for delivery. The korma was nice, large portion and served very hot. It was delivered within 45 minutes and 5 minutes before the time stated on just eat. Food nice but not outstanding there are better curries in Brighouse.

Ordered food on Just Eat app at 7pm . Delivery time said 9-15pm . 10pm still not arrived , could not get through on the phone just kept ringing .Eventually arrived at 11pm when I was in bed so I refused the order . I’m a key worker and I’ve had an horrendous day at work and was looking forward to nice meal .

I read some positive reviews here and I wonder if those people were under a spell. It was not good. I originally wanted to go to Royal Delhi, but it was busy with at least 20 people waiting in line, so I decided to try this place instead. There were barely three occupied tables on a Saturday at 8pm, which should have been a warning sign, but we decided to give it a chance. The staff was friendly and the service was efficient, but the food was terrible. The starters and main dishes were gloopy and unappetizing. I'm not sure how this place stays in business, probably from intoxicated people leaving the Calder who have lost their sense of taste. I will not be returning.
