The menu is typical cafe fayre, hot and cold sandwiches, soup, salads and hot meals, and when delivered the portions were large and the quality extremely good. There was also a selection of delicious looking cakes and scones which, if it wasn’t for Slimming World, I would have loved to have tried....definitely next time! Great food, excellent service and very clean, would recommend.
I recently went back for lunch and I finally discovered this hidden gem on the third floor of House of Fraser. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. They offer hot breakfasts, tasty lunch options, sandwiches, and a children's menu. They even have a designated children's corner and plenty of space for prams and wheelchairs. It's a great place to take a break from shopping.
The restaurant has a delightful children's play area and the staff are welcoming and willing to provide baby food. There is ample space for me, my friend, and my child in a stroller at 1.30 on a Friday afternoon. However, I found the price of £6 for a tuna melt with a small amount of salad to be quite high. It's a nice place to take a break, but be prepared to pay a lot. Overall, not the best value for a quick stop.
I was a bit let down by our fish and chips lunch today. Despite the menu mentioning tartar sauce, it was not included. The chips were decent, but the battered haddock was overcooked and the batter too crispy. It didn't feel like good value for the price.
A good place to rest after a lot of walking and or shopping. One tea pot and cake will revive you ....the rest of sandwich and menu seems.. ordinary. Good and quick service
