By the time we got to the front at 11:15, we were told that there was no more breakfast available. There were no eggs left, only a sad looking omelette that seemed to have been sitting there for hours. We complained to the manager about the lack of staff and were eventually refunded for our disappointing meal. The food was cold and rubbery, and we couldn't finish it. Trying to leave the restaurant quickly was a challenge due to the confusing layout. Overall, it was a stressful and unpleasant experience. This was my first and last visit to this establishment.
We visited this restaurant during the Easter holidays and expected it to be busy. However, we were surprised by the long wait time (almost 40 minutes of queuing) to receive our food, which was already prepared and just needed to be plated. The wait was so long that we almost gave up. The food was okay, but we had to search for clean knives and there were no napkins available. My son even compared it to the school cafeteria, but with slower service. It seemed like a simple task, but unfortunately, it was not executed efficiently.
Sausage, bacon, beans, omelette, hash brown and tomato for £2.50. Tasty food and a free brew before 10am. Perfect for a cheap and cheerful midweek breakfast.
The restaurant offers generous portions and is reasonably flexible with the menu. They also seem to have improved their supply chain, as they don't run out of items as often as before. The Ikea café is back on track and provides great value, especially if you have friends who also enjoy Ikea and visit on weekdays.
They’ve run out of almost everything again by 1800, more staff than customers, but apparently nobody to cook… it’s depressing because it used to be ace for families in here.
