Food was tasty and good but slow and inept service let it down. Service was so slow we didn’t stay for the drinks that came as part of our meal. Just paid and left.
Found myself in Huddersfield Town centre with a colleague. Haven’t been or eaten there for ages so wasn’t familiar with what was on offer. Found this spot which was pretty empty and ordered beef with Chilli and Sweet and Sour chicken from the very simple and very inexpensive menu. Flipping delicious!!! Why is this place not packed? Perhaps it is on an evening/weekend. I hope so.
Unfortunately the food has gone downhill and on leaving noticed that raw meat was been cut behind the counter, serving customers and cutting raw meat then just leaving it there, will not return.
Myself, my husband son enjoyed a delicious meal at Rivers. The staff were welcoming and the place itself is clean and nicely decorated. The menus (yes, multiple) are very extensive offering both what you would expect from your typical Chinese take-away and traditional Chinese meals that you most likely have never heard of. We opted for salt pepper squid, steamed pork dumplings, beef in schezeaun (hot oil), house special chow mein, roast duck pineapple and egg fried rice. Everything was delicious. The portions were generous and very flavourful. We had quite a wait until our food came to our table, but it was worth it. You could tell the food was freshly prepared and everything was hot and cooked perfectly. The following day we were tempted to return again as we enjoyed it so much!
