I’ve used The Golden Fish for 40 years. Just called in to grab 2 fish sandwiches. I have never had a more disgusting fish butty in all my life. The batter was burnt,the fish tasted old but the most nauseating thing was the lumps of hard to chew pieces that were like the edge of the pre cooked fish. The fish and chips were delicious and the staff were very friendly. We got our meal to go for lunch and it cost around £20-30 per person. The food was rated a 4, service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5. I highly recommend trying the fish n chips.
