I have fish and chips every time I go there. Chips are tasty and not crispy like other fish and chip shops. Staff friendly and helpful

Good service, reasonable price. Have never had any problems with the food always been very tasty. Like how you can phone your orders in for quickness.

To make matters worse, the chicken goujons were soggy and inedible, clearly not cooked properly. I was busy with other tasks at home for my daughter, so I couldn't address the issue directly. It felt like a complete waste of money, especially considering it was supposed to be a weekend treat for her. We've consistently experienced problems with our orders from Steil, so we've decided not to return.

One thing my friend appreciated about his pie was that it was the right shape—thank goodness! Round steak pies just don't taste the same. Everything was made to order, and my friend enjoyed his steak pie without any complaints. The meat inside was tender and incredibly flavorful. As for my fish, it was fantastic—light and fluffy with a wonderfully crispy batter. The mushy peas had a slightly burned taste, but they didn't take away from my overall enjoyment of the meal. I will definitely return here on my quest for the best fish and chips in Scotland. Our total bill came to around £16.
