The actual experience was much better than I had imagined. The number one that makes this place so big is the staff. Everyone is unimaginable. There are all small things as if you get your snow equipment for the excursions, they only give you what you need without registrations or room keys or anything. They simply feel valued and trusted as a customer. This place is really a resort. You have so many fun activities to do, and the food is just so good. Speaking of food is the free breakfast PHENOMENAL. There are so many amazing foods to choose every morning, and the staff is incredibly helpful in allergies of any kind! We were lucky to see the Northern Lights two nights in a row, but even if we hadn't, it would have been one of the best resorts we've ever had.
Once in a life experience. The rooms are cold (no surprise there), but once in the provided sleeping bag it is nice and warm, you just have to hope that you don't need the loo. Even if you do not plan to sleep there, I would recommend buying a ticket to see all the rooms, the ice art is amazing and you need to have a drink in the ice bar.
A magical place, the ephemeral art is fantastic and it is great to wander through its halls and see the amazing art and light exhibitions. Sleeping in the ice hotel is an experience, it was not the most convenient but definitely very unique. A day visit can be enough to enjoy magic. The sauna did not work when I visited what was a shame, but we still loved this visit
If that's not on your Bucket list, it should be! My wife bought me a trip to the Ice Hotel to which I said I always wanted to go. Only when I was there I realized how much I wanted to be! What an amazing place. We stayed one night at the Ice Hotel that they build every year, and then 2 nights in one of the warmer rooms. It is an excellent experience. Sleep in an ice room, on an ice bed, in an extremely warm sleeping bag. Had a great night slept, and I can put it out of the bucket list now. While we have the ice sculptures in the different bedrooms, a beer in the ice bar, a husky-pulled sled, a morning of photography photos of reindeer and elk and an evening in the wild with our own cook. We even have an hour walk to the viewpoint of the area. The staff is very friendly, the excursions were great (and I am not one for trips usually), and the northern lights were breathtaking. If you have thought about making this trip, but never came to him... do it!... You won't regret it!
By far one of the most amazing places I have ever visited. A perfect combination of luxury and breath taking nature. The experience of this amazing place is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life and I really hope to come back one day
