I came on December 30th and had the C set with Yama Shio Ramen and mini sauce katsudon. Whenever I come to Urabandai, I always eat here. When I came during the May holidays, the menu had changed and there was no Yama Shio Ramen, but they specially made it for me. I heard that from May to November, the menu is only soba noodles. So, if you want to eat Yama Shio Ramen, you have to wait until winter. Personally, I think this is the most delicious Yama Shio Ramen shop in Urabandai. This time, I had the set with Yama Shio Ramen and curry. The curry was also delicious, and although the noodles were a little overcooked, it was still very delicious.
I tried the set of rock salt chashu ramen and half sauce katsudon. The ramen had a nostalgic and gentle flavor. The sauce katsudon was also delicious.
During the rainy season, we visited for lunch while sightseeing and surprisingly there were hardly any customers, only two groups including us. The food was decently delicious. We had the mountain vegetable soba and the choice of cutlet set for around 1100 yen at the time. The sauce cutlet bowl had a sauce similar to oyster sauce, so I wouldn't recommend it for those looking for an authentic Aizu sauce cutlet bowl. The soba noodles were perfectly firm, and the mountain vegetables were cooked in a way that made them easy to eat, apparently picked and prepared by the owner. They even served us some mountain vegetables as a service, which I, who couldn't originally eat them, found delicious enough to finish. The restaurant is a standalone house, with a cozy space of about 10 tables for 4 people each. The music playing in the background was a Carpenter's music box CD, with photos of Aizu's four seasons and pressed flowers decorating the space, creating a calming atmosphere. It seems that they occasionally hold pressed flower arranging classes as well.
