I ordered a delivery of Chicken Tikka - I got a plate with chicken chunks sitting on a load of diced onions and 2 lemon slices. No mint chutney no sauce. The chicken chunks were dry and chewy and not at all like Chicken Tikka is supposed to be. On my visit I had a chicken gravy dish which was just average. Overall not a place I would visit again
Stopped by Amaya for dinner this past week, had a veritable Indian feast.Quiet, relaxed space, generous portions, FRESHLY made naan, friendly staff.I barely managed to finish the Masala Lime Lamb Thali, which had 3 curries, pickle, raita, Basmati rice, and naan. It was very filling, and soooo tasty. If you're looking for authentic Indian food, this is the place.
The restaurant has a very big menu, with many south Indian dishes. The food was delicious, the portions generous and the prices reasonable. The service was friendly. My companions both had the vegetarian thali and I had a masala dosa. We also had two appetizers. We could barely finish it all, so good! Thanks!
The Tandoori chicken was so dry we could not eat it. The naan bread was burnt and doughy at the same time?? To thick maybe??...I will not order from there again although the people were very very nice to me :) Sooo nice that I actually feel bad writing this review :) I should add they are VERY expensive !!
Ate here for a lunch with coworkers for a weekday lunch. The food had great flavour and authentic Indian tastes. Had the butter chicken meal (forget the Indian name for the combination meal) with chickpeas, yellow curry, naan and dessert. The service was quick yet thorough! Explanations of the types of dishes and samples were provided to those of us unfamiliar with the cuisine. There was enough for two meals! This is a great addition to DTK and
