Contribuisci feedbackThe staff here are so friendly! The menu is on 3 screens above the service counter, but it flashes across them too fast to easily read them, so we opted to browsed the store as we tried to read the menu screens. We had stopped-in for a late-afternoon snack a quick bite to tide us over until we were home and had a chance to prepare the day 's dinner), so we were looking for just a quick taco apiece or a 2-taco plate we could split), and hoped for birria or al pastor. While both taco are on the menu, they do not offer side-orders of single tacos, with birria and al pastor only being available in large 4-taco servings. Much too much for a snack. Their smallest menu item is 3-tacos choice of basic chicken or basic beef). We decided to split the 3rd taco, and we opted for beef. Service was counter-service, and only take-out as an option, but the staff was very friendly and our snack was ready rather quickly. The tacos, however, were unpleasant. The beef was so hard it could not be chewed, and the process to eat it was to move the plain beef/onion mix around in one 's mouth until ready to swallow the bite whole choking it down , as it were). Did it fix the hunger pangs until dinner? Yes. Was the eating-experience pleasant? Not in the least. The flavour was quite lacking, as well. I would never again try a beef taco here.I will definitely return, however, because the grocery part of the store has some really great items not available elsewhere, and the service was friendly. But as they are not open for dinner, we likely will not be back to the large dinner-size portioned al pastor or birria tacos.
Food is delicious and made in house. The pupusas are freaking awesome especially with an imported glass bottle coke to go with it! The staff are friendly and helpful if you have any questions about anything. You can eat in at little bistro table or order to go. There’s also a small grocery store inside with unique Latin foods.
On our getaway we came across this little unique place on Google. We didn’t regret to try and this is how it went:Customer service were (10/10 , greeted with warm welcome, food served pretty fast(almost right after we sat down and even though a buffet style restaurant theyFood and drink overall are 9.5/10. We had Birria with added cheese (came with soup and perfectly balanced spicy sauce-it hottt hottt ,Fried plantains (fried just right and came with sour cream ,Guatemalan tamales, one of the best we ate so far. Really delicious. Only one thing we could pick up on is the lack of chicken in there. We only had a small tiny piece. That’s something improvements could made on.For drinks we got coffee (not the best but average-wish they would have non-dairy milk-it’s cool though and, of course, my unmissable pineapple jarritos.Overall, the food was amazing, great portion sizes, very authentic. LocationThe location is easy to find, easily accessible spot. Free parking.Overall experience is 9.5/10 and we are happy gave it to try. If you’re in Waterloo you cannot miss this place. We already they will not let you down!
