Unfortunately it is served with rice and veggies that were unappealing and looked like they had stopped trying. Finished with the dessert nacho mini sundae. It was good but tiny. The server was super friendly. Personally, the food was so-so, it was the filth of the booth and the washrooms that I found disturbing. The booth had crumbs over it like it hadn't been wiped down for a few days. The washroom had four stalls of which 3 were clogged and didn't look like it had been cleaned a few days either. Disappointing as the food was average and the service was great but who wants to eat in filth?
Went for dinner with two friends. My one friend asked the server if the salmon had a sauce and if so what kind. The server said she didn't know and didn't offer to find out. When pressed she did go and find out and my friend decided to order it. When our food came my friend received a completely different dish - pickeral. When she said to the server she ordered the salmon she replied well I guess you got pickeral. She then took it away and said well you are now going to have to wait for your salmon. We did wait and should have left at that point because the salmons was not good. There was no apology although they didn't charge her for the plate. Would not recommend you waster your time orMoney on this restaurant.
I invited some friends out for lunch on the holiday Sunday. The place I wanted to go to was closed but Casey's was in the same plaza and it was open so in we went. The decor had a typical pub feel to it and it was almost deserted which made for a quiet dinner. I had the Louisiana Jambalya, while two friends shared a platter of short ribs and wings, and another had a chicken strip salad. Our drinks consisted of pop, iced tea, and hot tea. The only misstep during this meal was a hot water pot that sprang a leak under the handle. The servers were appropriately apologetic and replaced it with a leak free-hot tea pot in short order. The servers were friendly, helpful, and service was prompt overall. As for the food, the Jambalya was a bit more on the hot side than on the flavor side compared to another time I'd had it. Based on comments from my friends the ribs, wings, and salad all went over all. In addition to the meal I had a sample of the BBQ sauce and some dry cajun powder - and I liked both of them so much I intend to be back to try them out. Finally, the bottom line food, tax, and tip cost of ~$25 / person was reasonable for four people.
Solo meal, brisket and fries, coleslaw. Make sure you order extra sauce for the brisket, fries and the coleslaw. Without it everything is plain, bland. Otherwise the fries are good and the brisket cooked perfectly. The coleslaw is canvage in oil. Order the orange poppy seed dressing for it. Staff are friendly, but the prices are a bit steep.
I met the hubby here for lunch last Friday. We had an appetizer of lunch size nachos with extra cheese, delicious! I had a cobb salad , hubby had shrimp tacos. Both were great and service was friendly too!
