They ensures to take to crumbly bits out of the spicy salmon roll, and brought a GF soy sauce. They confirmed the tempura is NOT gf, and I was able to avoid that. They advised they were not sure if the imitation crab was GF or not, so that placed it on a separate plate from the rolls that were confirmed gf.
Best sushi in town. Knowledgeable about gluten free options! Avoid the eel and crab, they modify to remove tempura as well! Gluten free soy sauce available. So good. Celiac and I haven’t had a reaction here yet
Upon seated, it seemed like our server knew how to explain the menu and told me the chefs will use clean surfaces, equipment, etc. However, there were some inconsistencies between other servers in terms of knowing what was GF and super GF (no "may contains" ingredients), so there were multiple clarification communications. As such, the meal did bring upon some anxiety, but gladly I ended up being okay (aside from the usual AYCE sushi coma). The food was delicious, though I wished they had more GF sauces because things like teriyaki chicken obviously aren't the same without it. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and would return.
Ordered from the sister company in Waterloo. Tasted pretty good (not as good as places in used to in Niagara area tho) but I was sick from the food. Was definitely cross contamination as I was the only person who experience any symptoms and I've been gf for over 7 years. I'm disappointed but know it's a risk I take eating out. I was very careful in my ordering process and specific on restrictions.
We've been here twice will different experiences. The first time was a year ago, our server had no idea what gluten was so the manager had to take over serving us for the duration of our stay. The second time, a week ago, had no concerns. Everyone, both the greeter and the server was well-versed in celiac disease and what gluten was. A large portion of the menu could be served gluten free although most would just be omitting the sauce (the steak was delicious sauceless! Delicious food, gluten free soy sauce for the sushi and a great time! Kudos for their ability to handle a gluten free guest while have a AYCE menu.
