I especially enjoyed the creamy carbonara and the flavorful marinara sauce. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual dinner with friends. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious pasta dishes in a welcoming environment.
Mother's has a long history in Canada. They were a big presence in the 70s and 80s, but unfortunately closed down.
This restaurant is not good. The service is slow and the food is mediocre. Considering their reputation for pizza, you would think they would put more effort into it.
Dropped into Mother's Pizza in Kitchener for their Lunch Buffet last Friday to enjoy an outing with my wife.Busy place but not over whelmed were met at the door and seated and all was good. Took a bit before someone attended our table but not a big deal. our drink orders were taken , just ginger ale then another wait .............................. till they arrived. We were there for the buffet so she said just go ahead which we did. Very good salad bar set up, remember the buffet so is only 9.99 so the salad bar for that price alone was pretty good. Good selection fresh and lots of it. Down fall two dressings were empty and seemed to go unnoticed. Now here is where it gets tricky, pizza is the buffet selection as a main OK all good, 3 kinds, also one very dried out pasta selection and a soup. BUT if you are going to advertise on the side of your building the tastiest pizza in the world,( a stretch to begin with) you better make sure you replenish them quickly. Our first helping a slice each was ok , the second trip not so good and our third trip two selections were out for longer than 10 minutes so settled for the final option and it had obviously been sitting there far too long. Dessert standard brownies and a few tarts again OK. So in closing for 9.99 not bad and would go again but certainly could have been better. Also 6.58 for two gingerale a bit steep. Go try it out , eat lots of salad, beats the so called tastiest pizza in the world.
They bought the name not the success. Have been in the Hamilton one as well and very disappointed. Food not cooked proper, staff seemed uncaring. As a former real Mothers employee I tried it to see what it was like. Missed the mark on every area. Panzaroti was raw inside and leathery on outside. Hard to say if they are trying to recreate or have it how Mothers would have evolved. Sorry I gave second chance .
