Trattoria Siciliana

We had a very good impression after our first visit seven months ago.. But this time we left the restaurant quite disappointed. The white houswine was not cool enough and the pizza was not of a good quality. The service team was not the most...sympatic either; they forgot to serve the salads we had ordered. We hope for a better day, because in general we like this Italian Restaurant.

It’s a very good restaurant from every point of view. I popped down it by chance on August shortly after arriving in Klagenfurt, after having wandered for a while looking for good food, which is not easy to find in the stated city...really. The inner terrace was the only part of the restaurant which at that time was destined to the relevant business purposes; so I sat down at a table there and realised that most of courses listed on the menu were conceived with much wisdom. I ordered a filet steak and it was delicious: very tender, tasty and very well cooked. I was so satisfied that I went again to that restaurant on the following day, August That time I ordered spaghetti and it was also delicious. Unfortunately its staff was on holiday and thus the restaurant was closed down when I passed again through Klagenfurt on my way back home. All waiters there are helpful, efficient and diligent, and especially the one who attended me was also very kind. He told me that he had lived in Switzerland. That’s the reason why he speaks a perfect French, language in which we talked on that occasion. The terrace where dinner was served is very attractive and well bedecked. It was nice to be there, the more so if the fact that there was no music is taken into consideration. The customers weren’t therefore obliged to hear any sounds which they didn’t wish to listen to. Consequently the atmosphere was fantastic, the best for one to spend there a great moment while having a meal, as I did. By all means that restaurant is indeed a recommendable place to eat.

For a group of 3 teenager and 3 adults looking for a quick late dinner this was the perfect spot. We arrived half an hour before the kitchen closed. They managed to get 2 pizzas, 3 portions of pasta, and a portion of grilled calamari in just 15 minutes, and everyone was happy.The pizzas had a perfect crust, the pastas were just al dente, and the calamaris were excellent. The service was good even with us changing constantly between German, Italian and English. Highly recommendable.

We enjoyed this restaurant on the recommendation of Italian friends and were very happy with the choice. We started with a couple of beers and bruschetta, which was very fresh and filling. Then, split two different pizza, one being their traditional white pizza. I would highly recommend if you are in the area and want really delicious pizza.

As I am italian, i can say that this is a really good restaurant with great pizza and other food. The price is the same of many other places, but the pizza it's the original one, and in Klagenfurt is hard to find a good pizza!Nice atmosphere and service :)
