I was with a large group, and our service was awesome. The new salad bar was great once they changed out the lettuce. Someone in the group brought that to the managers attention. Lots of dessert choices, other restaurant choices were put out which was really nice, soup choices, ice cream. I would say it's the best salad bar in town as far as choices. I would definitely come again. The price is worth it.
We were greeted by Elizabeth the owner, who also offered to take a picture of our large group. Kid-friendliness: Our group has gone back by themselves. Very enjoyable
Went to the new sizzling downtown restaurant. It was the worst food and experience I have ever had at a restaurant. The only American food was greasy ribs, burnt potatoes and hard bread. The enchiladas consisted of a dry crunchy tortilla and not much else. We sat down to eat what we had reluctantly put on our plats and couldn't get past a few bites. There was also shrimp tails in some sort of creamy dish I couldn't identify. Then if that wasn't bad enough I was charged full price for a meal my family and I didn't even eat. Don't waist your time and money on this place. Would give it 0 stars if that were an option.
Traveling from Southern California, I stopped at El Palacio. While the fajita burrito was a bit saltier than I prefer, the attentive service from multiple staff members more than made up for it. While they don't offer traditional Mexican drinks like horchata or jamaica, they do have Pepsi products. The atmosphere was casual and suited for a relaxed meal.
