Cafe Escorial - Klosterneuburg

We ate here after our tour through wine cellars. The food was hearty and good, and the prices were excellent. The menu was not huge, but I prefer it. It usually means that the food is fresh. Coffee and cake good, but not excellent as the...Apple Strudel was a bit soggy. We sat outside on the terrace and you can see that all the others eat there as they all smoked. Very difficult for us not to cope with smokers. Best to come on a sunny day. Great background of the pen.

Schönes Café mit sehr freundlichem Service, köstlichen Speisen und atemberaubender Aussicht.

Schmutzige Tische, Kellner beim Rauchen, versiefter Gastraum, ungeputzte WC's und der Kaffee hat auch nicht geschmeckt. Das passt ganz und gar nicht zum Rest dieser tollen Anlage. Wer ist da bitte sehr zuständig?

After a tour around the Stift Klosterneuburg we decided to take a short break and have something to drink. The Stift itself has some good varieties of wine to offer, and there is a vinothek next to it, but the cafe nonetheless also provides some wines. And we went for the classic choice. The wine was serves with a glass of water which was a positive surprise, since in Vienna that is not very usual. The cafe is inside the Stift building, where also the treasure chamber and the museum are, just after the museum shop is the cafe. The interior is beautiful and brings comfort, and they have many different sweets and coffee types to offer. The seats are large and comfortable and even though the outside was cold, the inside was nice and cozy. The prices are modest and the service is fast. Though they do not offer much to satisfy hunger. All in all I can suggest this place to everyone.
