Prime Barbecue - Knightdale

The turkey was slightly dry, but the green beans were quite good. We enjoyed dining outdoors, which was lovely. The cobbler and ice cream were fairly tasty as well.

It was my first visit to Prime since relocating to the area, and I can't wait to return!

Even though I’m not a big fan of BBQ, this has become my favorite restaurant. The food is fantastic, and the owner is incredibly friendly, always going out of his way to connect with his customers.

Now, let’s talk about the food! Wow! I ordered the loaded baked potato with brisket, while my husband opted for the brisket plate with BBQ rice and sweet potato salad. Every bite was absolutely delicious. The baked potato was so large that it served as both my lunch and dinner for the day. The brisket was incredibly moist and tender. We also tried the barbecue rice, which was a delightful new dish that we haven’t encountered anywhere else before—so good! I couldn’t help but notice the mac and cheese on other diners' trays as we made our way to our table; it looked amazing! That will definitely be on our list for next time. And yes, there will absolutely be a next visit—and very soon!

The Saturday lechon was a masterpiece, perfectly balancing flavor with crispy skin and tender meat, and it wasn't greasy at all. The brisket was simply perfect—not too smoky and never dry. The sausage had an incredible snap that left me momentarily stunned. The turkey breast was so flavorful that I'm hoping they serve whole turkeys for Thanksgiving! Their desserts are exceptional, and you can tell that great care has gone into the sides as well. The service was outstanding. It reflects excellent leadership, as the staff was not only friendly and accommodating but also knowledgeable and genuinely happy to be there. I was thoroughly impressed by the operations, the staff, and the food. This place truly feels like a community and family gathering spot. Hats off to everyone involved!
