El Metate - Knoxville

An excellent example of a fine Mexican eatery! Wonderful staff, and they make the best fried ice cream around. I'm partial to tacos, and their shredded beef and chicken tacos are flavorful and very generous. Let's not forget the chicken tortilla soup, amazing VERY generous! Hubby likes the fish entrees. Service is always friendly and attentive. Good prices. Highly recommend!

Great food and very nice lunch specials. It was a little busy during my visit but service was always quick and helpful. Nice to have great service when you're visiting out of town.

We come here quite often, it's a really convenient location for us. Of the 20+ times I've been here, have never had a bad experience. Food service is always good!
