I place my order, and all I hear in response are a few "mhms" and the total cost. This is the ideal exchange between fast food worker and customer in my opinion. None of us want to be here, and there's no need for pretense; let's both keep our discomfort to ourselves and complete this with minimal interaction. As I mentioned, almost all the employees at this McDonald's excel in this regard, showing little interest in chatting—just as it should be—except for one. The large, balding guy who seems to be a manager talks way too much. Although he's friendly, he just has too much to say. I’m not interested in what could have been the most efficient way to order my combo meal; I’ve already placed my order, so let’s just wrap this up. Otherwise, it’s just a McDonald's, you know? It’s a McDonald’s.
I had an incredibly disappointing experience at a McDonald's in Knoxville—definitely one of my worst visits here. I ordered a 6-piece Happy Meal, a large fries, and a caramel cappuccino. The only bright side was that my son's chocolate milk was cold. Unfortunately, both our fries and the chicken nuggets were also cold. The nuggets were hard, while the fries were not only cold but also soggy, with several burnt pieces and black specks that looked like pepper. It was particularly disheartening after waiting 30 minutes for our meal while dining in. To top it off, my cappuccino was plain instead of the caramel I had requested. I couldn't get anyone's attention in the store to address the issues, so I felt compelled to leave this review. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and we ended up throwing the food away, which felt like a waste of money.
I was interrupted three times while trying to place my order, as the staff member kept saying "hold on." After about 30 seconds each time, he would ask again if he could take my order, as if I hadn't already spoken to him. On the fourth attempt, a woman asked if she could take my order, and I simply said no thank you and drove away.
This location was the worst I 've ever been to. We went in the drive thru. They rang up the order incorrectly. The screen was going slow and didn 't show all details, so we weren 't able to verify. The person at the first window didn 't confirm the details of our order. Just wanted us to pay. Sent us to the second window. We were pulled around to the front and had to wait for a very simple order considering for 4 adults and a child. The teas we asked for were unsweet, and we got sweet tea. The soda we ordered was not supposed to be see through. The burgers we got had onions, we asked for no onions. It even said no onions on that little paper they put on burgers. The attitudes we got from everyone we encountered was highly disappointing. That was a complete waste of $35. Most of the food was trashed due to the order being monumentally wrong. There was no sense in going back and dealing with the bull that we had already went through. We were from out of town. Never have I encountered such lack of customer service and quality of food at a McDonald 's before.
I did a Mobil order for pick up when I got there they had most of my food ready and had me pull up for the fries. Eric brought my food out and I had forgotten I didn’t get handed the happy meal thankfully he mentioned it and made sure I got the juice as well! I would have done the survey but unfortunately the ink was running low and so I can’t read the survey code to do it! Eric was very friendly and nice!
