Osteria Stella - Knoxville

Amazing food and cocktails, along with outstanding service and a wonderful atmosphere. It may be on the expensive side, but the quality is truly worth it.

We really enjoyed our meals, and the service was excellent! However, they seemed to have some issues accommodating large groups upfront. We were required to select our dishes a week in advance. Initially, we were informed that our bill could only be on one check, but this was resolved when we arrived.

My husband and I have dined at Stella multiple times and have always appreciated the service and ambiance. Matt is an excellent waiter. The salads are consistently fresh and tasty, but the pastas and main dishes can be inconsistent. On two occasions, either my husband or our friends ordered the lasagna, only to be disappointed by a dry and overcooked pasta. One of our friends was especially uncomfortable about returning the dish to the kitchen, since we had recommended Stella. Additionally, my husband has voiced his frustration about the 10-15 minute search for parking. Due to these parking issues and the experience with the overcooked pasta, we may be less inclined to return to Stella in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Osteria Stella! We went with a couple of friends on a Thursday evening- we had a reservation and were seated immediately. The atmosphere was fantastic, nice without being stuffy. Our server had great suggestions about the number of appetizers to order for a party of four and was very accommodating in explaining menu items to us. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. We tried the arancini, focaccia, salad, potatoes, lasagna, cavatelli, tagliatelle, and ribeye, and I highly recommend all of them. The service was also fantastic! We ate here over a week ago and I am still dreaming about my meal! We will absolutely come back!
