Sonic Drive-in - Knoxville

We were looking for a quick brunch for the kids after church, and one of them wanted fries. When we got home, however, the fries were old, hard, and cold. Additionally, the lid on my wife's drink was nearly loose; fortunately, she managed to catch it just in time, but it did spill on her clothes. We were the only car at the Sonic and went through the drive-thru, so it was surprising to receive fries that looked and tasted so bad. It’s hard to believe the employees thought it was acceptable to serve food like that. My child's grilled cheese was so tough it felt like eating a sponge; it was nearly impossible to bite through the bread. The quality has really declined, and I won’t be returning.

I understand that many places are facing staffing shortages, and as someone who has worked in customer service, I can be patient. However, there's no excuse for completely ignoring or selectively serving customers during busy times. A simple, “We’ll be with you in a moment,” would have really improved the situation. I hope you can do better next time.

I was really disappointed with my entire order. My breakfast burrito was completely off; it had no sausage, just a flat piece of egg instead of scrambled, and sticky American cheese instead of cheddar. The tater tots were cold and lacked any salt, making them very bland. The Cinnasnacks were also cold, and the dough was undercooked! I'm not sure if they don't know how to make the burrito correctly or if it's just a matter of laziness, but every time I order it, it's done halfway and incorrect!

Got charged Twice! Didn’t realize it at the time. Paid right there when I placed my order, it was not clear that the charge went through. When the waitress brought the food she said we didn’t pay. We told her we paid when we ordered. So we paid AGAIN at her insistence. The next day both charges showed up on our card. What the heck And the burger fries were just so-so.
