The Tomato Head Downtown - Knoxville

We had a late dinner and cannot praise this local recommendation enough. Here is what we discovered: 1) The dining area was clean with a youthful atmosphere. 2) The staff was very friendly and attentive - Julia took excellent care of us! 3) The food was made with fresh ingredients and had delicious flavors. It was so good! 4) The healthiest meal I've had all week - good for the restaurant, bad for my diet. 5) The Southwest Salad was the best I've ever had, hands down. The chipotle ranch and vinaigrette dressing were a great combination, and all the ingredients were fresh. The seasoned chicken did not overpower the salad, and I especially enjoyed the crunch and flavor of the blue corn chips. 6) The hummus appetizer was a highlight - we fell in love with it. The perfect balance of heat, garlic, and tang. Our group of 5 even bought 7 or 8 to-go containers! I heard the black bean hummus is a must-try. Can't wait to go back and taste it. 7) The service was friendly with everyone smiling, even though we were there at closing time. 8) The restrooms were clean. We would love to visit again on our next trip.

We recently tried one of the 14 delicious pizza options at this restaurant, the #10 Banana Pepper Basil Ricotta with Italian sausage and roasted onions. It was incredibly tasty, from the first bite to the last, including the crust. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. We highly recommend this place!

The vegan pizza with vegan pfefferoni has left me completely satisfied!

We came to end within 20 minutes and they were still friendly enough to put us. we have talked about what we should get, as there are so many good options here, and on the recommendation of the waitress we have the vegan sandwich on rosemary white bread with a partial salad with the southwest dressing and the black borummus. the black bran hummus was my favorite part of the meal. it was so good. very recommended to come here!

Outdoor terrace is dog friendly. Eating is incredible. the Veggie sandwich and the Tuscan chicken sandwich were so good! we loved the hummus
