My highlight was the sweet collie who greeted us in a friendly manner at reception! It immediately created a feel good atmosphere for me. But the two ladies who run the hotel also play a part in this you can tell that they care a lot about the well being of their guests. It is not a modern, sterile hotel like you would find in the big city, but one with heart and soul. Rooms: 4

The breakfast room is very friendly. Breakfast is plentiful and available until 11 a.m. The lounge area with self-service kitchen invites you to relax in the evening. Drinks such as water, tea and coffee are available free of charge. The service is very friendly and helpful. Small note at the end. The wet room instead of a bathroom is small and takes some getting used to. Food drinks: Tea, coffee and water are freely available at all times! Great

So. I'll try to evaluate it. Room is ok, bathroom is super tight. Hardly any water pressure, only lukewarm water. Apparently there is no room service, at least supplies were not replenished. So take your own shower bath with you. Check-in was super friendly, but contrary to our own statements, the reception is not manned and locked from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. There are fitters staying in the hotel, so expect to be rudely woken up at 6 a.m. by music and Eastern European morning conversations. It's all very noisy. Do you have to wait another 1.5 hours for breakfast? Bad luck. Do you want to unsubscribe? Bad luck. The reception is not staffed early in the morning. Ergo: Don't do this to your well-being and your wallet. The hotel industry around Penzberg seems to be a bad joke. It's rare to go through so many bad accommodations in one room.

A perfect holiday for our large family, our dog was also very welcome. The breakfast was simply delicious and the rooms were very clean. Everyone was really friendly, helpful and personable!
