We were there for New Years Eve and had a bottle of the Sula wine (decent enough), tempura prawns, honey glazed pineapple, massala fish...and pander curry. All delicious. There are a few seats around the pool which is lovely. Quite hot though! Inside is fairly basic but nice enough. No air con- but plenty of fans. Best thing by far is the service- super speedy and attentative which is hard to find in these parts! Thank you guys!
An old Jewish house converted to a hotel. Very hospitable staff and good food on the menu. Light classical music and a candle on the table makes the ambience very romantic. Tables around a small pool should be avoided more for the mosquitoes. Local food...is good, also serves beer (that many others in the vicinity does not serve) We spent an evening after all the sightseeing to windup a wonderful trip we had at Fort Kochi.
The weather. The only thing I didn't like about Kochi. Can't complain though, the sites and foods it has to offer more than makes up for the Turkish sauna weather. I went there with 2 friends. We had fried rice and chicken noodles. Both were good. And just that. Nothing to write home about. The ambience is good as it is an open air restaurant located right at the junction of Burgar street and the lovely Princess street.
This is a charming spot to unwind and enjoy a cup of coffee, especially in the evening when each table is adorned with flickering candles. The food, including the fried calamari we tried, is satisfactory. However, it's the pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant that truly stands out. It's a perfect place to unwind in the Fort Kochi area.
We were the only people there, so hardly a good atmosphere. weeping, but they only had half flakes. instead of doing what any good waiter/manager/saurateur would do and offer us two half bottles for the same price as a whole, they said we...has at half the bottle price that could be more than the whole bottle price. lesbians. what a marketing catastrophe. that was okay. one of the few places that have served wein and beer should have lined in the height of the celebration season. before the seagull.
