It was excellent while it was open. Unfortunately, it closed in December or January of 2018. I hope they reopen because the Kodiak airport restaurant options are limited.
I arrived at Kodiak Airport without transportation and unsure of where to have lunch. A local taxi driver suggested Navigators Lounge, just 25 yards away from the small airport. I decided to give it a try and waited for the restaurant to open at 10:30 AM on a Sunday. It appeared to be open seven days a week. Despite limited table seating, the comfortable chairs and cocktail-style tables were welcoming. The prices were very reasonable, especially for Alaska. I opted for the roast beef sandwich with horseradish mayo, served with chips and tortilla soup. The meal was delicious and only cost $11.50 for the lunch special. I also had the option of unlimited Diet Coke refills for an additional two dollars. Overall, it was a great meal at a fair price in an area with limited dining options. If you find yourself at Kodiak Airport and in need of a hot meal, Navigators Lounge is a great choice.
