Those who go back to the stone bridge will remember him and the excellent burgers on the legendary Busstop opposite Nørrebrohallen on Nørrebrogade. In the happy 80s you can get Joe's luxury burgers. But why is it so good. It is freshly chopped beef grilled or fried in Joe's secret BBQ sauce, with onions, tomato and cucumber. In a classic, Rambølle is seen with Mayo and a leaf Iberg. The taste is unique and brings the memories of the best from the firm food culture of the firs. The menu also contains a lot of other joy, but those when I never really try. Then it is not only the burger that brings memories of old days. It makes the owner so really also. Fantastic experience. I came here with my wife a few years ago and I meant to leave a review at the time but forgot. Today my experience here popped back into my mind and so here I am leaving the review I was meant to leave a while back. The salmon burger was absolutely delicious, but what made it even better was the authenticity of the cooking and the personality of the owner. Once we’d finished our food he kicked up a conversation, and we learned about his life and we shared some of our own stories. Sometimes you have these moments when you travel abroad and they’re the parts of the trip you remember forever. Our visit to Banana Joe’s was one of those and if you’re travelling, I thoroughly recommend you make the visit, you won’t regret it.

The food was delicious and the portions were considerably big, especially for how cheap the food was. However, what surprised us the most was the kindness and hospitality the owner showed. Greetings from Mexico

I have visited Banana Joe's three times in my life and I can say every time it is a wonderful experience. Back in 2016 when I was a traveler with a strict budget, a friend and I found Banana Joe's through trip advisor and our first meal was relatively inexpensive and delicious. We had such a great experience that a few days later we had to have the delicious burger again! Flash forward 6 years and now I'm married with less of a strict budget and I insist to my husband that we HAVE to eat at Banana Joe's for dinner during our 25 hour layover in Copenhagen. He didn't understand the need but went along with it anyway. We arrive at Banana Joe's and it is as I remember 6 years prior. Even Chiheb doesn't look like he has aged very much at all! The menu is as I remember and at the first bite of my burger, the messy saucy deliciousness, is as I remember and it brought me so much joy. Chiheb is a one man show to cooks up a great burger and provides the most hospitable experience you will ever have in your life. As we ate our burger we proceeded to have a very genuine conversation with Chiheb as if we were old friends catching up. Once we had to part ways with Chiheb, my husband understood why I was so excited to have the chance to see Chiheb again and enjoy one of his most simple and delicious creations. I look forward to coming back to Banana Joe's again when fate brings me back to Copenhagen. I hope travelers not sure if they want to go to Banana Joe's read the many positive reviews and understand that not stopping by Banana Joe's is missing out on having one of the most special experiences.
