Beautiful restaurant. We went for lunch. The service was not great. The steak was good but very small. The fries were frozen and the salad was blah. Had to lower the rating for that.

Beef tenderloin with baked potato, all you can eat. Baked potatoes were perhaps from the day before, skins that were very thick and tough and heated way too hard, fillets of beef that were gray and boring, expensive drinks. Will not come again, although the atmosphere and service were nice enough. Stone

It is always a pleasure being served a delicious steak cooked to perfection as you prefer, and my tasty beef filet steak (obviously from quality meat) was spot on! Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about my wife’s steak: Even if she herself looked up the problems by ordering a smaller tenderloin steak cooked medium/well done, it turned up VERY well done, dry and pretty bland. On the other hand, their fries are over the top: Big, homemade, crispy and hot, but I find it a little mysterious that there is no sauce included in the steak price, all sauces are extra! The restaurant is cozy, and the staff is nice and attentive, but a little on routine. It 's a shame that the kitchen doesn 't get it right every time, as Hereford Steak absolutely has potential to become a really good steak house!
