Middle level restaurant Ok food, drinks ok slow service We had 3 courses, it took 2 hours and the dood was of medium Quality.

Normally this is a great place with great quick service and great food. This time it was clear it would not be that kind Of and evening. It took way too long before someone approached us to Take orders for food and drinks and it went 50 mins before we had anything to eat. Although they told us they had problems… make sure we have something to drink and some bread or peanuts or something to keep us happy.

Our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant and booked a table for us at 7.45pm and the restaurant was buzzing with atmosphere when we got there. Tables were well spaced, so you didn’t feel on top of your neighbours, but close enough for some positive ambience. We were told that the serving staff were largely young trainees, so perhaps not the best, but that the food was good. In fact our servers were excellent, whilst the food was very good too. I had a generous bowl of fresh shrimp to start, served with a nice homemade mayonnaise and a large chunk of garlic bread. I then chose the sea bass for the main course, which was freshly cooked, but needed the pomme frites (which are an extra). Unfortunately the restaurant emptied out quite quickly from about 8.30pm, so we were disinclined to stay on for a coffee and another glass of wine. Not a lot the restaurant can do about this of course, and it didn’t spoil our visit. Perhaps it would be better to book an earlier time slot in future.

Good food, nice service and lovely ambiance in comfortable lighting.
