Returned to the city and we went to Blue Elephant restaurant in the hotel, for dinner. We shared our starter and entrees. Started with Spring Rolls, their special recipe of chicken, prawn and vegetables stuffing served with red sweet and sour sauce. Shared Garden Vegetables, crispy stir-fried mixed vegetables including onions, mushrooms, asparagus, and broccoli. And Phad Thai, Thai fried noodles with shrimp, peanuts, egg, and vegetables. The food was excellent and very tasty. The meal was soured by their charge of 15 kr $2) each for a glass of water, which they refused to credit.
Friendly service (partly slow). Very Thai style environment with a goldfish pond and a little waterfall. Spicyness european strength, so not so hot. You will survive 3 elephants. Tom Kha Kai Green beef curry: I think they ran out of coconut milk. Sorry guys but will probably not come back.
This was the best Thai food I 've ever had. My wife, who 's visited Thailand, agrees. She recommends the scallops. My son insisted I give a review 10, even after I explained it only goes up to 5. 'No, papa. Ten. *hold up all fingers* '. A delightful evening of delicious food in a magical atmosphere. A must-visit if you are in Copenhagen.
I thought the decor was excellent and the tables were distant enough not to be bothered by their activities. Found the food to be good and tasty. If I had not been meeting friends that I had not seen for years then I would have not been happy with the service levels. The staff are well trained in moving through the restaurant without allowing eye contact with the customers it took quite a while to order additional drinks and an age to get and settle the bill. As I was happy for it to be a long meal it was not an issue but they do need to increase staff levels and training as people will not be impressed at the moment
