The female chef, got a reorder and ended up making some really quick sush, and it was the same. Not the right sushi. The waiter was sweet and kind. And she understand us. After dining we heard others people who had waited over an hour for their food and discussed with the female chef. On a normal weekday with maximum 15 guests in the restaurant, I don’t recommend the restaurant.
We ordered a table for 3 on a Friday evening. On arrival, the restaurant was close to full, which is always a good sign, since the location is a bit off the beaten track. We were seated quickly, and from there everything went pear-shaped. While we waited to give our order, people paid, left and new customers came in and were serviced. Our table seemed to have dropped of the map of the waiting staff. Twice we adressed the waitress, who simply smiled and moved on as we asked if we could order. Finally, after 30 minutes of waiting, we decided to leave, and informed the staff that since obviously the attendance was too much for them to handle, we would simply find another place. They were very apologetic, took our order, and promised quick service. We should have left.... The sushi that my wife and I ordered came almost immediately. The spicy edamame that we ordered as an appetizer never arrived. The spring rolls for my daughters child menu never arrived. Needless to say, the drinks never arrived. After an hour we gave up and left. Given the total meltdown the cashier generously decided not to charge for the child menu, since only half of it actually showed up on the table. Same for edamame and drinks needless to say. I cannot imagine that our experience was anything but an exception, given the popularity of the place, but nevertheless, it was one of the worst we have had. Better luck next time to Lucky Sushi.....
We were astonished! To find such fresh and well made sushi in small town Køge was a positive surprise! Well, the restaurant is obviously popular, so the sushi does spend hours before being consumed. The variety was excellent and the taste excellent. Furthermore the place is situated close to Old Town Køge and the harbour. A nice place to go after a stroll through the romantic streets.
Delicious sushi, quick and super service. Wine card is not spectacular, but what can you expect of a sushi restaurant. Can only recommend Lucky sushi who always perform and give value for money.
Very good Sushi at Lucky Sushi in Køge. Situated right next to the Harbour. Interior modern and well kept. Each table having a bell to fetch the waitor who seemed a bit young and not quite skilled. She was however trying.
