This is a modern restaurant and bar,the interior is superb, light and airy with great paintings and prints of The Dom adorning the walls and a cool serving Bar,despite this place being full we luckily managed to get a table for two were a very pleasant member of staff took our order of a couple of beers and we opted to have that most Cologne of beers namely Dom Kölsch and these beers were served iced cold and sparkling,we just kicked back and chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular place. The beer was really good,I love the variety of Kölsch beers available in Cologne and Dom Kölsch is one of their tastiest. We ended up staying here for a couple of beers each before we moved on and for a first time visit we were very impressed with the great restaurant and bar. Alte Post is really easy to locate on An Den Dominikanern very close to the magnificent Dom. A fantastic restaurant and bar and well worth checking out.
