Buyuk Harran Doy Doy - Köln

Give this place a Michelin star. Outstanding good food! This place makes the difference of Turkish food. A top managed place!

I was there at the weekend, after a concert, I decided to get some food. They look fine, the man even has a uniform, food isn't so cheap, looked organized. When I walked in, it smell strong chemical. So I thought they were cleaning or something. I got the beans with rice , the food was cold, I didn't bother to say anything as I was hungry and tired. I just wanna go back to the hotel and sleep. It didn't taste good. I went with it anyway. Next morning, I got food poisoning. my stomach hurt so badly, we were on our 6 hrs drive back home, it wasn't possible for me to go to the doctor. I ended up laying in bed for 2 days, couldn't eat anything. I would never go there again and I don't recommend anyone! to go there.

We parked on the road not far from this traditional, busy Turkish restaurant. I was astounded to see so many people queuing up for take away meals. But we were ushered more to the back of the establishment where there was a large array of tables and happy diners tucking in to their lunchtime döners etc. We were served quickly and efficiently. I went for a large plate of lamb chops, two sorts of rice and salad. Before that arrived we picked at a range of Turkish bread and two dips which were delicious. All the food was really authentic. To drink I had a glass of ayram. Looking around it's clear that this place is set up for quick, mass eating. The glass counters revealed an enormous array of pre prepared meat, kebabs, salads etc. etc. And there was a constant stream of diners, many embracing the Turkish language. In fact I really thought that I had been transported over to Istanbul. In the end I couldn't complete my meal I was full to the brim.

Only greedy!!! Every time I'm in Cologne, I have to go there. I'd rather go there every day. The calf feed is so delicate and tastes unique through the coal. I love being there with the beautiful ambience. Price performance unbeatable. Thanks for giving!!!

Had a lambskewer with salad, it was delicious. Meat super prepared with your spices, the salad was fresh. Clear recommendation!
