Located in a very central place, close to the market. We tried the beef of the house and it was delicious!

It was my Nth time in Cologne but I've never actually eaten in a German restaurant even once here before so tagging a friend along, and letting him decide what to have for dinner was definitely a good idea. Did a quick tripadvisor research on the best German restaurants in the area and we found ourselves having dinner at this restaurant. We asked for the waiter's recommendation and we were presented with two big pieces of rump steak with mushroom gravy, potatoes, and salad on the side. We paired it with the local Kölner beer and that was simply the BEST dinner we had during our one week break. Being a self confessed carnivore, I highly recommend this place for those who plan to or are currently visiting Cologne, Germany. And don't forget to pair that meal with their local beer! Yummy!

Having dined here last night 04/08 and having a great meal we returned tonight 05/08. After 2 hours we are still sat here waiting for our main course. Table booked for 19:30. Got seated late and then waited nearly an hour for starters. A further hour for main. Shame as staff are great, but not best level of service from kitchen.

Based on TripAdvisor recommendation we chose this restaurant and hoped to get great German food. Service was ok and food was just average, nothing special.

Hidden just off the Alter Markt this place is a really nice alternative! Only popped in for drinks with a fairly large group of friends, the staff were really nice and found us space by pushing a few tables together. Nice atmosphere and reasonable prices!
