500 Degrees - Kogarah

I was looking for a good steak to satisfy my meat craving, and luckily I found it at @500.degrees. In addition to their delicious steak, they also offer a great plate of mixed ribs, beef, and lamb.

We ordered the following dishes: - Beef Boerewors with mashed potatoes: a sausage meat blend with South African herbs and spices. I don't eat beef, but based on reviews from friends, the beef was good but the sausage was a bit dry. - Chicken breast piri piri with rosemary potatoes: the chicken breast was perfectly cooked and full of flavor and moisture. The rosemary potatoes were delicious, and I especially love potatoes. - Medium rare steak with salad: the steak was cooked perfectly to order and melted in your mouth. A sign of a good steak indeed. The service and staff were excellent. My only recommendation would be to have a more extensive wine list, including a couple of South African wines. Overall, this place is worth a second visit.

Love this place. Very handy location, close to Kogarah station. Delicious food and amazing desserts. The char char wings were packed with flavours and I loved a bit of spiciness there. For desserts, both chocolate lava cake and sticky date pudding were rich and indulgent. Especially the sticky date pudding, to die for!

Every time I visit I always have to order their beef ribs and they never disappoint. The meat is always tender that you can easily remove it with a fork. The smoky sauce has got the right amount of sweetness acidity and it is generously coated on the ribs. Their chips are also amazing, crunchy on the outside fluffy on the inside. <br/ <br/ I tried their Chilli injected burger for the first time, apparently it’s a new item on their menu. It comes with its own chilli syringe and you can make it as spicy as you like which is a cute idea. Although I didn’t really like the chilli sauce much, it tasted like Mexican chilli which I’m not much a big fan of, but the whole idea was fun innovative. Beef patty was juicy but the onion ring inside the burger was not so great, it was coated with the hardest batter I’ve eaten, it hurt my teeth!

Takeaway burger cooked medium rare, delicious and soooo juicy! Could have eaten 5 of them! Great little restaurant serving up burgers, steaks, ribs and chicken.
