This tavern is the very heart of the wonderful place of Kastro the oldest village on the island and the village at the highest altitude in Thassos. Being right in the center of the village, you can 't miss it. Plus, passing by, you 'll surely get a smile and a Welcome! from one of the family members who own this tavern. The food is delicious, diverse, cooked with natural ingredients and comes in generous portions. The lamb on the rotisserie or in the oven is divine: tender, aromatic, the salads are very refreshing, the homemade ice cream with pine honey can make you addicted, the lemonade is made from freshly squeezed lemons, also sweetened with pine honey, and the frappe with ice cream it 's the best I 've had lately. It is a real delight to spend a few hours on the cool terrace of the taverns, enjoying the view, the silence and an authentic culinary experience.
