Soy - Kolkata (Calcutta)

A small cozy cafe with beautiful decoration. Situated inside Downtown mall at ground floor. We had mixed hakka noodles, both food and service was fine. I liked their crockery and cutlery the most.

Good food, service and ambiance. Had chicken sausage pizza and arrabbiata pasta. One of a kind retro café in new town.

Very well decorated and maintained. Quality and quantity of the food are great.

Downtown Mall in Newtown is a relatively new Mall and various shops are opening up gradually here.. Apart from the biggies like PVR, Spencers and Reliance Digital in this Mall, various small outlets and eateries are opening up too.. While roaming inside the mall, one such small cafe that caught our attraction is the 'Cafe Soy ' located on the ground floor of the Mall. And we decided to give a visit there.. Once we entered, we found it to be a small and cosy place with around 30 seatings alongwith few on the 1st floor. The inside decor and lighting is quite good which caught our attention. There was enough space between the tables. The walls were decorated with various set pieces which went quite well with the decor. As we got seated and went through the menu, there was CCD coffee available alongwith various snacks items and mid heavy food.. We wanted to keep things simple and ordered just Cappuccino Coffee and French Fries.. The staffs were courteous and the items were delivered in around 10 mins.. About the food, nothing much to say.. the french fries were quite crispy and tasty and potion was good for 2 persons. The CCD coffee was good too.. loke the usual ones we had before many times from other CCD outlets.. There were many other food items, but we didn 't get a chance to taste them this time. So overall its a small and well decorated cosy restaurant where foodies can spend a bit of their relaxing time here

A small cosy cafe located in downtown mall is a must visit cafe. Loved the warm interiors. Love the beautiful low ceiling seating on the floor above. Its like a picture book setting. The food was just outstanding. Feel like going to this place every weekend. Take your family and just chill. Enjoy a nice break. Its a perfect place to eat and away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
