We had 1 plate of diamond fish fry and the fish was so soft that it was melting as soon as we are chewing it... The fish was cooked throughly... And yes there is also a customized show-piece plate where it has been beautiful printed shudipar picture... They have buffet system occasionally and buffet for one person is Rs999/ ..
Today me and my friend went to these Bengali food joint, located at the heart of South Calcutta near the triangular park. This restaurant specialises in authentic Bengali cuisine, which is sort of emotion for Bengalis like us.The ambience is just amazing,it feels like u have entered the dinning room of some Bengali zaminder, from ceiling to chandelier...it holds a legacy, reflects rich Bengali culture. Now coming to the food we have ordered gondhoraj bhetki, steamed rice, sorse posto galda chingri(shrimps)...food tastes really good,it rightly stood up to my expectation and give justice to it's name, love to visit there again
It's a great place ! Food is dope too !My suggestion, try out the FISH FRY out there ! It's the best of its kind. The staff is also very polite !
The rice combo which i ordered for had dal, thakurbarir palong kopi salad and rice. I loved the preparation of palong kopi..I felt that the amount of rice , if increased, would just be perfect for the amount of the dish..otherwise... Just loved the food
Visited this place with friends recently. Was in a mood for some 'kobji dubiye Bangali khawa ' when we came to know about the Non-veg Thali here.It 's really good in taste and presentation as well.It came with long-grained steamed rice, ghee, shukto, jhur jhure alu bhaja, begun bhaja, Mugmohan Dal, shorshe potol, chitol muithhya, chingri curry, chicken/mutton kosha(I opted for mutton), chutney, papor, mishti. Each and every item was extremely tasty. The cooking is a little on the ghoti side and me being a ghoti thoroughly enjoyed it.My favourites were the Dal and the muithhya. It 's a must try for any special occasion.
