Waldecker Stuben - Korbach

Each time we return to Korbach, we make the effort to visit the Waldecker Stuben. It is a firm favourite of ours.The food is a consistently high standard, nicely presented and represents good value for money. While I try to make the effort to sample different dishes from the menu, I have some clear favourites; for starters, the onion soup with lashings of melted cheese makes a lovely winter warmer and the smoked salmon wrapped around a hot crispy mini-rösti is delicious. On the main dishes, the Allgäuer Schnitzel always goes down well. The complimentary side salad served with many dishes is probably one of the best we have eaten with a lovely selection of items and creamy balanced dressing.The owners, a husband and wife team, are very friendly and help to create a nice relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant itself is traditional German style, cosy with plenty of interesting ornaments. There is a separate function room that can be booked for larger parties.Can't wait to return to the restaurant in a few weeks time!

Very delicious and good-bourgeois, with acceptable prices!

Wonderful eating. Goods with a group there. Super meat. Fast and nice, attentive service, which I personally find very important. Who says the sauces were done down here just has no idea point. When I get out of Hamburg, I'm going to be a pal, we're always going to go here.
